I’ve noticed a lot people are having a hard time getting their prayer journals and war binders started. There are many questions and all of these are really fair and simple questions. So let me answer the basics:
What is a Prayer Journal?
A place where you write down your prayers to God
What is a War Binder?
The concept appears to have come from the movie “War Room” which was a private place to pray and go over scriptures. So in essence a War Binder is filled with notebooks/pages that you write/draw out your prayers, scriptures, bible studies, and devotional studies.
How do I start either?
Simple answer? However you want. You can use a spiral notebook, ringed binders, weekly planners, digital planners, the options are limitless.
What’s in your binder or journal?
Everything! Check out my video below!
How much does it cost?
It can range from $0 (if you want to start with a notebook and already have it) to $100’s (should you go with leather travelers notebooks and purchase individual notebooks to attach).
How much time does it take to get started?
It can take as little as 15 minutes. It depends on how you choose to setup your notebook/binder/journal.
How much time should I invest in my journal or binder daily?
Depends. I think of time spent in my Bible, Prayer Journal & War Binder as time spent with God. So I try to spend a lot of time in each daily. Even if it’s just for a few minutes at a time. However some people choose to devote a few minutes before starting their day in the mornings or in the evenings before going to bed.
Even after answering these questions I still see that some people become frustrated, confused, or filled with anxiety when it comes to getting started. So, I decided to do a run through of my Bible, Prayer Journal & War Binder. Please check it out below. I pray that you find it helpful!
